Kaila Zimmerman Moscovitch (she/her) BSW, Volunteer Counselor

Kaila Zimmerman Moscovitch has holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Northeastern Illinois University. Kaila is currently attending Loyola University Chicago: School of Social Work to obtain her Master of Social Work (MSW) and later receive her LCSW.

Kaila is the Community Engagement Specialist at Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault (NWCASA) in Arlington Heights. Kaila has been with NWCASA since 2019 where she began as a medical advocate volunteer on NWCASA’s 24/7 Crisis Hotline. From there she started her undergraduate internship as a Medical Legal Advocate where she was later offered a position. Through that role, she was able to provide support to survivors through legal and medical advocacy. Through her time here, she has experienced almost every part of the agency including volunteering, prevention education, medical legal advocacy and is currently doing her graduate internship as a trauma counselor. Working with NWCASA she has realized the impact sexual violence has on survivors and their loved ones and wants to continue to provide trauma informed and survivor centered care. Now as the Community Engagement Specialist, Kaila continues with her passion to bring awareness to sexual violence in our community. Kaila hosts and attends outreach events, coordinates the volunteer program, coordinates the 40-Hour Crisis Intervention Training, and works closely with our Development Associate to engage the community to end sexual violence.
